All patients are required to have a consultation before their procedure as you will need to undergo a full health assessment with Mr Kalu before any surgery can be booked. It is also essential that you understand the risks of any planned procedure and the alternative options available to you. The consultation is a chance for you to ask questions and have one-on-one time with the surgeon before you decide to proceed. This also applies to patients who have been under the care of the NHS and wish to expedite their care privately as the two systems operate independently of each other.
The consultation is just as important as the procedure. At this appointment Mr Kalu will take the time to get to know you, your health history, and your surgical requirements. He will outline the options available to you and the risks involved in any surgery you plan to have. This will also be provided to you in a follow-up letter so you can take the time to digest the information and ask any further questions if you have any.
This fee is not refundable whether you decide to go ahead with the surgery or not as it covers the time spent with Mr Kalu discussing your individual concerns and a bespoke treatment plan.
The fee must be paid 24 hours in advance of your consultation. Payment details will be sent to you with your appointment confirmation.
